Who We Are?
About US
Commit Psychology is a Psychological Service run by Simon Neal, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with thirty years of experience working in the NHS in the area of Physical Health.
Simon specialises in Health Psychology, which focuses on the psychological processes involved in maintaining good physical health. This includes accepting and adapting to physical ill health, managing the thoughts and feelings that result from illness and minimising the impact of illness on social and psychological functioning.
The overall aim of Health Psychology is to help people attain a full, rich, and meaningful life within the limits imposed by any health condition. In other words, it’s about what works to stay healthy and what works to manage the impact of ill health.
What we offer
CommitPsychology offers telephone, online, or face-to-face help for people who want to improve their physical health, people who need help managing acute or long-term ill health, and people who are struggling with the impact of trauma, anxiety, or low mood.
We offer individual, needs-based Psychological support and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches to achieve these things.
What you can expect from us
At CommitPsychology, you can expect to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of your age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We offer a service in line with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of professional conduct.
You will be heard, have your problems taken seriously, and your Clinical Psychologist will work with you to develop evidence-based solutions to your problems.
